Task Force Meets in Memphis for Strategic Planning

After a series of meetings of the Task Force, as well as meetings with the respective steering committees, the Archdiocesan Task Force met in Memphis, Tennessee from July 27-29. The goal of the meeting was to take the feedback that had been received over the previous few months and create an initial strategic plan for the initial year.

The Task Force discussed the challenges our young people face, including: secularism, religious apathy, social media, mental health issues arising from the pandemic, and societal instability. The discussions turned towards the need for our young people to know Christ through greater engagement with the scriptures, liturgical life, ascetical practices, serving of others, and relationships with clergy and lay mentors.

A white paper highlighting this vision and proposing programs and activities for our initial year of work was created and presented to His Eminence Metropolitan Joseph for his blessing.

Meet the members of the Task Force here.
